2007 DePaul New Venture Challenge Winner Update
After winning the 2007 DePaul New Venture Challenge, Rania El-Sorrogy (COM ‘07) continues to work on her business DanceTV, LLC., which owns PulzART.com - a community-based website that celebrates dance, acrobatics, and ice skating in text, video, and pictures.
Currently, PulzART is producing ten episodes covering the 12th annual Chicago SummerDance - an eleven-week festival featuring dance lessons by professional instructors, and live music and dancing on a 4,600 square foot open-air dance floor in Grant Park. In addition to footage from SummerDance, clips of studio dance instruction and other performances will be included in the episodes. They are scheduled to air on Comcast’s ON DEMAND within the next week, and will be featured online at PulzART.com.
PulzART will also record Corpo Dance Company’s Summer Interactive in July. The Summer Interactive is dedicated to providing experienced dancers with the opportunity to learn from professional performers, choreographers, and directors. Master classes in ballet, jazz, and modern will be conducted along with “evening firesides” where Chicago dance legends will talk with emerging dancers, which Rania will moderate.
In addition, Rania continues to work on collecting quality dance videos to make available online for dance enthusiasts, and is seeking additional seed capital for continued development and growth of PulzART.
