Finals - Presentations
Three teams will be chosen as finalists in the competition. They will present their ventures to a panel of judges.
Teams will be able to revise their plans, taking into consideration the judges’ feedback from the semifinals. To prepare for the presentations, each team will be given a Power Point template. Also, the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center will hold a rehearsal with each team. Teams are also encouraged to rehearse with their advisor.
The day of the finals, each team will present their plan for 15 minutes followed by 15 minutes of questions from the judges (the judges will have read their business plan in advance of the presentations). The judges’ questions will be based on the presentation and the plan. They will ask questions about information they feel was missing from the plan, ask for justification about the contents of the plan, and comment on the feasibility of the venture.
After the presentation, the judges will meet to discuss the presentations. They will determine the order of the finalists, and how the prize of cash and services will be distributed among the teams.
The competition will conclude with an Awards Gala, where the winner of the competition will be announced.
