We’ll take you - step-by-step - through the entire process so you’re prepared to hit the ground running with your new venture. Business plans. Finance. Target markets. Hiring employees. Marketing. This comprehensive 10-week course delivers insight into everything you need to know to be truly successful.
Entrepreneurship taught by entrepreneurs.
We don’t just go by the book. This curriculum comes from a dynamic mix of experienced entrepreneurs and teaching methods. Classroom instruction. Guest entrepreneurs. Technical experts. Case studies. Peer learning. It’s a rich blend of content that’s practical, relevant and easy to understand.

Instructors
Becky Davenport
Becky has provided strategic market planning and business development consulting services for profit and not for profit companies for over 9 years. As a partner in The Macke Group, Becky was part of the team responsible for developing and executing the strategic business plan for Wayne State University’s business development project known as TechTown. Prior to her consulting practice, Ms. Davenport spent 15 years in global account sales and marketing at AT&T in Boston and Detroit. Becky is also an adjunct marketing instructor at Wayne State University, delivering traditional and online marketing courses for undergraduate business and MBA students since 1991. She has been an active member of her community as a board member, trustee and chairperson for several local fundraising events. Becky holds a bachelors degree from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. She currently resides in Chicago, IL with her husband and has two children in college.
Jim Stoynoff
Jim is Founder and President of Synthesis Solutions, and is a seasoned entrepreneur. He currently chairs Alliance Development for the Chicago chapter of SCORE, the business counseling partner of the SBA. Additionally, he is a member of the University of Illinois Extension Community & Economic Development advisory board. He serves in an advisory capacity to Orchard Village, which provides support services to individuals with developmental disabilities, IC Stars, and Haven Youth Outreach.
