At this event, entrepreneurs will learn how to make effective business plan presentations to potential investors. The program will feature the following:
-A seminar on how to effectively craft and deliver a business plan pitch. Topics to be covered include the importance of research and preparation, what presentation skills are most critical, and to how to create an effective PowerPoint. Presented by Raman Chadha, Coleman Entrepreneurship Center.
-Two live case studies of entrepreneurs making their business plan pitches, one of which will be an entrepreneur who has just begun the pitching process, and the other will be one who has successfully raised funding.
-A “town hall” discussion of the live case studies between the audience and the presenters.
Live Case Study: Aditya Nath, Total O&P, LLC.
Aditya is a founding partner of Total O&P LLC, an innovative global distributor of orthotic and prosthetic devices to underserved regions like Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. While currently raising Angel capital, he is responsible for the company’s corporate operations, business strategy development, and supply base management. He has successfully founded, incubated, advised, and invested in eleven startups in diverse fields over the last ten years. Aditya received his bachelor’s degree from IIT, and his master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
Best Practices Presentation: Russell Gottesman, Commuter Advertising
Russell is CEO and President of Commuter Advertising, Inc., his second start-up and a company that creates, manages and sells audio advertising on buses and trains resulting in significant new revenue for cash-strapped transit authorities. He is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of Commuter Advertising’s policies, objectives, and initiatives. Russell’s first start-up was the creation of KnotRadio.org, a web-based radio station designed to connect computer professionals with an interest in independent music. He brings ten years of management experience to his new venture including overseeing the sales offices at Westwood One’s Metro Traffic and CBS Radio’s WCKG-FM. Russell is currently an MBA candidate at DePaul University.
