Attend this breakfast seminar held in partnership with NAWBO's Chicago Chapter. This panel discussion over breakfast is applicable to businesses in all stages. Learn how to position your firm to increase the likelihood of a successful sale.  Panelists will include entrepreneurs who have sold their companies, and legal and financial intermediaries who assist with the sale process.

•   Which outside advisors are necessary and which ones are helpful

Pat Ewert

Pat Ewert is a director of Business Development with RSM McGladrey's Great Lakes practice. In this role, she is responsible for building relationships with prospective and new clients, determining current and future organizational needs and assembling teams of business and tax specialists to meet those diverse needs. Prior to joining RSM McGladrey, Pat directed the business development efforts of a consulting division of Adecco, NA. In addition, she has an extensive background as an entrepreneur. Pat received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Northwood University.

Ida Manning

Ida Manning is the Executive Director for the Illinois Institute for Entrepreneurship Education, and is a well-known entrepreneur, speaker, instructor, and “networker”. Her networking skills helped create, build, and then sell a successful business in Illinois. Her focus is to develop strategic partnerships with organizations and institutions that focus on education and/or workforce or economic development in order to assist in creating an environment that is conducive to the growth of entrepreneurship in Illinois, with an emphasis on underserved populations. Ida has been recognized by many organizations for her contributions to the business community over the last 20 years.

Ron Repking

Ron Repking is CEO and Co-Founder of Capable Networks, which owns and operates the largest hybrid network of online communities that focuses solely on the consumer electronics vertical. Formerly the CEO and Co-Founder of privately-held Bauhaus Technologies, he grew the company to over 30 consultants and added major clients including Allstate, Northern Trust, Options Clearing Corporation, and Alliant Foodservice. In 2000, Ron oversaw and negotiated the purchase of Bauhaus by publicly-held BEA Systems, Inc. Ron earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois.
