Blueprint: Program Overview

Blueprint provides current DePaul students the support and encouragement they need to successfully launch and grow entrepreneurial businesses or social ventures.  Students receive one-on-one guidance, direction, and help from the Coleman Center staff, experienced mentors, and other students.

Knowledge (Counseling & Mentoring)

Blueprint students have the option of working with Coleman Center staff and/or experienced mentors from the community that will provide:

  • “Real world,” professional advising to help you get where you want to be
  • Assistance and resources for planning, launching, and growing a venture
  • Information that complements and integrates what you learn in class


Contacts
Building strong and diverse network of contacts is important to any business owner.  Through Blueprint, students have the opportunity to: 

  • Become a part of the entrepreneurial community at DePaul & within Chicago
  • Obtain unique access to people, groups, and resources
  • Professionally present yourself through a variety of opportunities


Experience (Group Discussions & Experts)

Starting and running a business is a lot of work, so why reinvent the wheel?  Through Blueprint, students can work together monthly to: 

  • Build a support system for balancing school with business ownership
  • Share best practices and learnings
  • Learn from experts, such as accountants, attorneys, business owners, and other professionals
