Restaurant Stirs Up Buzz Via Viral Marketing

Kevin Walters, a New York small business owner, grew revenues for his restaurant and jazz club by using word-of-mouth marketing techniques at a time when many dining and nightlife establishments in the city are struggling.

 

He decided to hold strategically targeted events during off-hours, and offer group discounts to draw customers who wouldn't normally patronize his restaurant, Creole—and who, in turn, would talk up the restaurant to their friends.
