Coleman Center Client Seeking Experts and Thought-leaders on the Subject of Entrepreneurship

September 29, 2009

Jake Elster, a Coleman Center client, is exploring how entrepreneurs learn to identify and exploit opportunities in the marketplace for his master’s thesis.

Knowledge, for Entrepreneurs is an online survey to assess how Chicago-area entrepreneurs formalize knowledge management in their organizations. The study is being coordinated by MSLOC candidate at Northwestern University Jacob Elster. The principle investigator is John Philbin of Northwestern.

  • Do you know an entrepreneur who has started a business in the past five years? How about someone who teaches, or works with entrepreneurs?
  • If you do, and think that they could qualify as one of Chicago’s top contributors on the subject, please email jake@croptocup.com with the name and contact information of the person you would like to nominate.
  • The top nominees will be selected to join a summer-long think-tank that which is being recruited to creatively approach the question of how entrepreneurs can build agile, efficient learning organizations.

This is not a paid opportunity; successful nominees will be asked if they would like to commit to one survey and one round of feedback in exchange for the results of the survey, and credit in the research. You can feel free to nominate yourself - don’t worry, we will not share the name of any nominators.

Feel free to contact Jake if you have any questions about his research or the nomination process at jake@croptocup.com.

Note: DePaul University is in no way related to or endorsing this research project, simply providing its members the opportunity to nominate a thought leader.
